I love the alarmed tone of the cat meows when I’m home much later than usual. It sounds like “did you know?? Did you know it is late at night?! Hey! Hey! Did you know that there has not been dinner?! No dinner for cats? Hey! I can tell you are as concerned and worried about these developments as we are. My brother and I are also very concerned. No dinner!! The cats have not had dinner! Hey! Heeey!! Should you maybe call a police or pope or something? Congress? Dolly Parton? Did you know about this?”
it’s safe to say i think about this video at least four times a day, i can quote almost the whole thing from memory

After almost a decade on this site, I found another Tumblr user in the wild. I stopped to tie my shoe with rainbow laces this morning outside the silversmith at Colonial Williamsburg, and I heard it.
“I like your shoelaces.”
Oh. Oh no.
I responded the only way I could. “Thanks.” And then I reluctantly added, “I stole them from the president…and if that makes sense to you, I’m very sorry.”
The poor man, in full Colonial dress, stared at me for a long moment. And then burst into laughter. And said, “I haven’t thought about that in YEARS and this has never happened to me before.”
My apologies if there were in fact any beautiful young women who made new, blank Tumblr accounts with a profile picture of themselves in a swimsuit solely to follow my fanfic blog.
